The First Pregnancy

2012

As I experience pregnancy myself for the very first time, I feel honored to join the long line of women who have made this journey before me.  I spent years imagining what pregnancy would be like and longing for the day that it would be my turn, so for it to actually be happening to me is such a dream come true.  And a blessing.  Because I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I definitely questioned whether or not I would be able to get pregnant at all.  I am so thankful that my husband and I were able to conceive quickly, and I don’t want to take that for granted, knowing that many women and couples struggle to make this dream a reality.  My heart goes out to them.  I have chosen to birth my baby in the manner and setting which I feel is best for both my husband and me and for our baby, and I hope that by sharing my experience I will  help other women realize that natural birth and home birth may be options for them as well.  I believe in being educated, informed, and making decisions for yourself.  I believe that birth is a positive experience, a normal experience, and not something to be afraid of.  I believe that we as women can trust our bodies, can trust our babies, and can trust our God.

ok i do like that there is an easier way to get back to your first post. the kindle version of this site doesnt have the links at the bottom to keep going back to older posts so i literally had to keep hitting back on each individual posts one day to find the one i was looking for. 😀

Yeah, I’ve tried reading blogs from the beginning forward (on my phone) and have spent a ton of time going back every time I had to stop. I don’t want anyone to have to do that with mine! I have an archives widget on my sidebar now too so you can go back to a certain month. Not sure if the mobile version shows that or not….
